Biotechnology at Utkal University Bhubaneswar followed by M.Tech. Biotechnology at Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology West Bengal (formerly known as West Bengal University of Technology). Later he was awarded a Ph.D. in Biotechnology from IIT Kharagpur. Dr Kar has presented his research _ndings at many FEMS international conferences. Currently Dr Kar is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Biotechnology at M.S. Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences Bengaluru. His primary research area includes molecular characterization of beta-lactamases that cause bacterial resistance against broad-spectrum antibiotics – a threat to global medicine. He has published numerous papers in peer-reviewed journals. Some of his book chapters have been published by Springer Nature and Cambridge Scholars Publishing.
