    Description

Motilal Banarsidass Publications Tarunyasatakam by Subhasree Dash

Tāruṇyaśatakam is a book of mellifluous self- standing Sanskrit stanzas on the description of youth and love by Kshirod Chandra Dash (b. 1954), the Akademi award winning (State & National) Sanskrit poet of India. Each of the stanzas with a story in miniature airs passion and voices love that holds the reader spellbound till the end. With a publication of numerous Sanskrit lyrical gems to his credit, the poet is an author, translator, research visionary and literary critic who retired from Odisha Education Service as Head of the Department of Sanskrit, B.J.B (Autonomous) College (Utkal University), Bhubaneswar after reaching the age of superannuation on April, 2012. The translation of Kavivara Radhanatha Ray’s Cilikā (tr. Sanskrit lyric) and Gandhijī’s autobiography Mama Satya-prayoga- kathā (tr.) etc. are also some of his note worthy contributions to the domain of Sanskrit literary art. About the Editor Dr.Subhasree Dash , M.A., M.Phil, Ph.D with uniformly brilliant academic career has specialised in Sanskrit grammar, poetics and classical literature.
