About the Author
S.S. Bhavikatti served NITK Surathkal in different positions like Head of Civil Engg. Dept.; Chairman, Centre for Continuing Education; Chairman, Central Computer Centre and Dean. He has also served SDM College of Engineering and Technology, Dharwad; Rao bahadur Y. Mahabaleswarappa Engineering College, Bellary (formerly Vijyanagar Engg. College) and B.V.B. College of Engg. & Technology, Hubli.
He has published 64 technical papers in national and international journals and seminars and 54 books in civil engineering. He guided 72 candidates for M Tech thesis and 6 for PhD.
