The book provides new perspectives on the sociology of media covering aspects such as, memory, consciousness and Ashrafiya morality; Dalit to Disability; agitation and workers; feminism to repre­sentation; and commodification to ideological domination. About the Author Manoj Kumar Jena is a Professor of Sociology and Chairperson at the Centre for the Study of Social Systems, School of Social Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. He is the International Global Studies Programme Coordinator at JNU. His writings have appeared in various national and international peer-reviewed journals. His recent publications include Sociology of Covid-19 Pandemic in India: Education, Digital Divide, Work and Wellbeing (ed.), (2022) and Ways of Being Indian: Essays on Religion, Gender and Culture (ed.), (2024).
