Description
Research Studies Press Mathematical Computing in J v. 1 Introduction 2005 Edition by H.A. Peelle
Peelle (mathematics and computer science education, U. of Massachusetts, Amherst) has designed a text that allows students to teach themselves mathematical computing using the J programming language. The text, which can be used in a classroom, offers step-by-step instructions, first for using J, then for using J to perform math on the computer. The chapters cover arithmetic, fractions, comparisons, order of operations, algebra, equations, and so on, ending with function tables. A second volume is planned demonstrating mathematical problems with solutions in J. Distributed by AIDC. Annotation ©2005 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)show more
