    Description

CBS PUBLICATION Handbook Of Ophthalmology by B M Chatterjee

The 6th edition of the book is being brought out with the sole objective of providing the students and practitioners of ophthalmology with easy to read and perceive material useful for them. While retaining the previous material new chapters have been added. Chapter on psychosomatic disorders has been added keeping in view that more and more stress-related pathologies are seen which simulate organic diseases. Lasers have been described to acquaint the reader with the latest therapeutic tool. A chapter on special investigations dealing with ultra-sound automatic perimetry ophthalmodynamometry and fluoresce in angiography has been added to keep in tune with the rising needs of investigative procedures and the newer tools available for such investigations. The chapter on ocular therapeutics has been revised and split into two separating the ophthalmic prescriptions to enable one to easily reference to them in day to day practice. Many newer therapeutic drugs have deliberately not been added because of their still not being established and too dangerous to use like cytotoxic and immunosuppressive drugs in the management of uveitis. The book has tried to keep clear of various aetiological clinical therapeutic and surgicalcontroversies.
