    Description

New Academic Publishers Exploring North East India (PB) by Ahmed Sahidul

The unexplored, mysterious, and gregarious states of the North East Region (NER) are worthy of being ventured into. The seven sisters, i.e., Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura, and the one brother state of Sikkim, are the least explored regions of India. The NER is connected to the rest of India through a very narrow string of land called the “chicken neck.” NER is not only rich in its natural resources but also in culture, customs, languages, and foods. NER is the ultimate example of unity in diversity. Oil and coil are the major natural resources available in the NER. Despite its natural as well as human resources, NER still remains very much unexplored with respect to the people of the world. Mainstream India still considers the people of Northeastern India to be foreigners, and they are commonly referred to as “Chinkies.” This volume is trying to fill this gap by exploring different aspects of NER that have significant academic weight. In this edited volume, there are sixteen papers included, and all the papers are based on NER. The authors of the papers have tried their level best to explore aspects and issues of NER.
