This text book is written for comprehensive review for undergraduates and quick review for postgraduates and clinicians. This is a natural outcome of having worked with my undergraduate and postgraduate students for the years and facing problems of multiple books in the first year of dental subject. This text book also represent our experience with different institutes like CODS Manipal, B.V.P. Pune, Patna Dental College (GDC) Patna, and Santosh Dental College. The unique feature of this book is that it incorporates all the aspects of dental anatomy, histology, embryology, as well as oral physiology required for U.G. as well as P.G. students with short answer questions. Information given and chapters mentioned in this book are based on the curriculum prescribed for undergraduate students by DCI and all universities of India. We have tried to make this book in a simple language and with many illustrations so that the subject becomes easy to understand for the new students of dentistry. This book also contains short questions with their answers in each chapter so that the students can go through for a quick revision before their theory as well as viva examinations. We humbly request faculty, researchers, students and clinicians all over the country to give their suggestions and contributions for further editions.
